San Vigilio di Marebbe is undoubtedly a hiker's paradise thanks to the many places where nature can express itself unperturbed and showcase its best aspects. Starting directly from our guesthouse you can undertake a large variety of different relaxing walks ideal for families with children to more demanding hikes to the most fascinating landscapes in the Dolomites.
Here we will suggest merely a few walks and excursions which you can undertake during your stay in San Vigilio di Marebbe.
Themed path Trù dles Liondes (3km - 50min approx.)
The path leaves from the Fanes road close to Aqua Bad Cortina Oasis Hotel and takes you in the direction of Val di Rudo on a discovery tour of the mythical legend of the Kingdom of Fanes. Especially well-liked by children.
Themed path “A Soredl” (7km - 2h approx.)
This path is easy and winds its way along the sunny slopes of the villages of Costa and Chës Costes. You leave from the Miara cablecar valley station where amidst the forest and along asphalt covered roads you reach the Torpëi farm from where you descend to return to the village.
Alpe di Senes (16km - 6h approx.)
You leave from Pederü where you cross a forest path and ascend whilst immersed in the beautiful Fanes-Sennes-Prags nature park where you firstly pass Fodara Vedla and then in Sennes you reach the Biella hut. Here you have the option of either ascending to Croda de Beco or descending to Lech de Braies.
Alpe di Gran Fanes (8km - 3h approx.)
One of the most beautiful excursions in one of the most magical places in the Dolomites. Leaving Pederü you go towards Fanes where marmots and Lè Vërt display their true splendour. Continuing on you reach the legendary Lè de Limo and then the Alpe di Gran Fanes where you can choose to descend towards San Cassiano and return by using public means of transport.
